Fenix’s Board of Trustees (USA) is committed to the provision of holistic legal aid to asylum seekers and refugees in Greece. We ensure that Fenix’s work is inline with our core values and mission, while also helping to grow and develop Fenix through our technical knowledge and networks.
Board members create directional guidance to help a nonprofit live up to its mission. They do this through:
Fenix – Humanitarian Legal Aid is a US non-profit organization and Greek MKO, federally registered with Greece’s Ministry of Migration and Asylum.
Our multidisciplinary team of lawyers, protection officers, legal assistants, translators, psychologists and experts from different academic backgrounds, provides legal aid, protection and psychosocial services to refugees and asylum seekers on Lesvos, while advocating for a more just and equitable asylum system.
We are seeking someone with significant strengths in one or more of the areas outlined above. You will have a track record of performing a leadership role and be able to demonstrate communication and networking skills in the context of a diverse and distributed workforce.
