After finishing her master studies in Athens, Anthi decided to go in Romania and volunteer with European Solidarity Corps for more than one year. There she realized the importance of working with vulnerable communities and she decided to be involved in the humanitarian field. Since she came back from Romania, she has been working in the refugee field in Greece in various organizations, mostly focused in Protection services. The interdisciplinary and holistic approach, alongside with the emphasis in a strong advocacy strategy is what drove her to work with Fenix, since she considers that advocating for structural changes in one of the most vital and important aspects of the humanitarian work in Lesvos. Anthi holds a BA in Political Science and a MA in Social Theory and Social Research from the University of Athens and she is currently pursuing a second MA in Gender Studies at the University of Aegean.
