Sangeetha is an award-winning human rights barrister, writer and advocate passionate about improving access to rights for vulnerable people. She is a specialist in asylum, immigration and international human rights law with over fifteen years of practical experience in these areas. A committed advocate, she regularly provides expert comment on human rights and migration issues on the TV, radio and print media. Sangeetha is also an Associate of Border Criminologies, a department of the faculty of law at the University of Oxford seeking to better understand the effects of border control. Sangeetha recently gave a TEDx talk on the erosion of migrant’s rights in the UK which has been shortlisted to appear on TED.com.
